the founder
background
Miriam was born in Utah and understands the cultural heritage. In 2003, she moved to Tooele with her children and have continued to raise them in this lovely community. Miriam married her husband in 2010 and at that time, she became a military spouse. She understands the strength, resilience, and challenges military families face. Miriam has a large family, and has 8 beautiful grandchildren (and hope for more to come). In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family, camping, hiking, and traveling.
How it all started
As a young girl Miriam experienced the loss of her father. This changed her world and the way she felt secure and safe. She began questioning everything and re-learning the way she viewed herself and the world. It wasn’t until Miriam was in her 30’s that she decided she wanted to help others learn and grow in a world full of uncertainty. In 2018, Miriam graduated with her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and has been helping others learn how to be graceful towards themselves with gentle guidance towards the path and light they have always had within themselves.

Within a few years of working with the community Miriam learned to love working with people who have experienced loss and trauma. We all carry wounds of the past and when we meet others with wounds we learn to grow and heal ourselves. At Graceful Growth Clinic, Miriam will help you understand that your struggles and vulnerabilities are strengths. She will treat you with empathy, patience, and acceptance as you learn to understand yourself and the world.
Miriam has worked hard to develop strong personal and professional relationships. She will guide you gently through your growth and offer referrals to other mental and health professionals as the need arises. In time, she hopes to offer a wide variety of healing modalities that go beyond the couch.
